Pedopolis mourns…

In memory of our dear Mr. Emilios

With feelings of deep emotion and respect, the Pedopolis bids farewell to its distinguished compatriot and beloved friend, Mr. Emilios. A man of service, humility, and integrity, who in recent years became an inseparable part of the life and mission of our Camp.

Alongside his son, the Director of the Pedopolis, Mr. Diamantis Kombopoulos, Mr. Emilios participated actively, daily, and consistently in every aspect of camp life. With a broom in hand, with kind and gentle words, and with a constant spirit of giving, he was a living example of modesty and diligence for the children and our team. He became a child among the children and embodied the values he conveyed—not through words, but through his ethos and his example. He became a child among the children and embodied the values he conveyed—not through words, but through his ethos and his example.

He held a special place in all our hearts during the liturgies at the Camp: every summer, with faith and reverence, he chanted in our chapel, humbly and melodiously offering his own contribution to the spiritual life of the Pedopolis.

Mr. Emilios was a worthy family man, husband, father, and grandfather. We express our sincere condolences to the dear Mrs. Mary, to our Director Mr. Diamantis Kombopoulos, as well as to his brother Mr. Apostolos. May God give them strength and comfort.

His loss leaves a void—but also a rich legacy of humanity, love, and service. His memory will remain alive in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, April 11th at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Saint Phocas in Ortaköy, and the burial will take place at the Cemetery of Saint George in Ortaköy.

May his memory be eternal.
