Eugenia Danaki was born in Orestiada in 1986. She studied at the Department of Primary Education and Theology at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She also holds a master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Administration. Since 2009, she has been working as a teacher and currently teaches at the 3rd Primary School of Porto Rafti.

In her free time, she engages in music, dance, and singing, while also participating in various volunteer activities with different organizations. She is the backbone of the Summer Camp, as she has been actively involved in the volunteer team since 2010, offering her knowledge and dedication.

Athina Vouzaxaki was born in Nea Pella, Giannitsa. She studied at the Theological School of the University of Thessaloniki, specializing in Worship, Archaeology, and Art.

From 1986 to 2020, she taught in secondary education. She attended iconography lessons under iconographer Ioannis Vranos and studied for two years at the Iconography School of the Maximeios Spiritual Center in Serres and four years at the Iconography School of the Metropolis of Philippi, Neapolis, and Thasos, under the guidance of Konstantinos Kougioumtzis.

Additionally, she learned the art of mosaic at the Youth Center of the Municipality of Drama. She has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Nea Pella, Giannitsa, Drama, Kavala, Halkidiki, and other locations.

As an educator, she was particularly involved in environmental education, attending seminars and developing programs with her students. She lives and creates in Drama.

Her presence in our camp is a blessing from God!

Apostolos Kombopoulos, born in Ortaköy, Istanbul, is the eldest son of Emilianos and Maria and brother to Diamantis. He received his primary education at the Central School and graduated from Zografyon Gymnasium. He holds degrees from Anadolu University in Business Administration and from the American University of Athens in Public Relations.

He began his professional career at the Secretariat of the Grand Chancellor of the Ecumenical Patriarchate. In Greece, from 2000 to 2007, he worked as an Insurance Consultant and later as an Insurance Broker until 2016. Today, he is a store manager at the Supermarché PA chain in Montreal, Canada, where he has emigrated.

Married to Anna, he has two beautiful children, Eleonora-Foteini and Alexandros-Marios-Aimilios. In his social life, he dedicates time to volunteering and is a member of charitable and philosophical associations. Disciplined and with a sense of humor, he is our pillar of order and security.

Nora Maria Tepentelen was born on November 16, 1990, in Istanbul. She received her early education at Vlanga and Makrochori Primary Schools and later graduated from Zapyon Gymnasium. She currently works at the Children’s Workshop of the Holy Trinity Church.

Skillful and quick, she is like a sister to all the children at the camp. Since childhood, she has been closely connected to the camp and continues to offer her love to the children.

Dimitra Fotou was born in Volos. From a young age, she was involved in sports, especially tennis. She studied Archaeology and Art History, Painting, Coaching, and Sports Science and continued with postgraduate studies in Special Education. She works as an educator and psychomotor coach, focusing on play-based learning and mini-tennis instruction for young children and children with special needs.

She has taught at the School of Officers of the Hellenic Police, coaching schools, municipalities, and organizations, promoting sports and culture among young children and children with autism and disabilities through educational programs.

Since 2004, she has been active in children’s literature. Many of her books have been published, including The Fox Exercises, The Little Frogs of Athos, The Wedding Party and the Drama of a Vitamin, and more. Her latest book, 17 Stray Stories from Antiquity, was shortlisted by the Children’s Book Circle, while My Green School was included in the 2022 Golden List of Elniplex.

She has served as a jury member for children’s literature and preschool sports awards. She has been honored by the Children’s Book Circle and the Center for Sports and Culture of the Municipality of Fyli. She is also a board member of the New Constantinopolitan Circle.

As a volunteer at OIOMKO, she is one of the most distinguished members of our camp team.

Konstantinos-Dimitrios Tsioumelas was born on May 18, 1995, in Thessaloniki. He speaks six languages and is a PhD candidate in the Department of Balkan, Slavic, and Oriental Studies at the University of Macedonia. He enjoys sports and practices martial and defensive arts.

Coming from a family with deep roots in Istanbul, he has always heard stories about the city. Now, he has found his summer refuge in our Pedopolis Children’s Camp, offering warmth to his fellow camp members as a representative of OIOMKO’s Volunteer Team.

Sotiris Nikolas Kiosker was born in Istanbul. He received his early education at the Marasli and Vlaga Primary Schools. He graduated from the Fener Rum Lisesi Gymnasium and is now studying Mathematics at a Public University.

In his free time, he exercises, enjoys traveling, and taking photos. He is one of the staff members who have maintained their connection with the Summer Camp since childhood.
